Where I Will Be Checking Cards

I have been appointed an ARRL DXCC Card Checker, ARRL Awards Manager for HF (Worked All States and VHF (VUCC).

I am able to field check QSL cards for all the ARRL DXCC, ARRL Worked All States (WAS) and the ARRL VUCC awards. I will also field check cards for All the 3905 Century Club Awards. I will be at many of the upcoming hamfests in the area for 2007-2008 and will attend ANY Baltimore area club's meeting with some advance notice to check cards or as a speaker on "What is a valid QSL card". I can be reached by the following means:

Via E-Mail Click Here

By snail mail (USPS) at:
Bill Dobson, N3WD
P.O. Box 922
Reisterstown, MD 21136

By phone: 443-465-6583

For when we meet or if sending by mail:
1.) Cards should be placed in the same order as the award application.
2.) The application should be completely filled out. If you do not have an application click on one of the links below. I do carry a few applications with me.
3.) A check or money order made out to the ARRL and for the appropriate ARRL fees. I do NOT receive ANYTHING. I do this on a volunteer basis.
4.) For DXCC, field checkers cannot check cards that are more than 10 years old, 160 meter contacts, or are from a deleted country. Also, the fee amount has to include the postage for mailing the results back from the ARRL.

5.) A #10 envelope with enough postage to mail the application to the ARRL. (VUCC awards need more than one unit of postage depending on how many sheets you use.) Plan on six sheets equal one ounce. The envelope should be addressed to:

ARRL (WAS or DXCC or VUCC) Awards Desk
225 Main St
Newington, CT 06111
