The Hanover Area Hamming Association

The Hanover Area Hamming Association serves northern Maryland and southern Pennsylvania. HAHA is a small club of approximately 25 members. HAHA members have interests ranging from APRS and VHF to HF contesting, satellites, IRLP and general interests. HAHA is also involved in the West Manheim, PA township RACES program. The general purpose of the club is to have fun with amateur radio. The club has many activities that let us bring our families along.

The HAHA meets at the Pleasant Hill Volunteer Fire Company's "OLD" fire station located on PA Route 94 just south of Hanover, PA and just north of Manchester, MD on MD route 30. The club meets the 2nd Thursday of the month at 7:30 pm.

Why not come by and visit a friendly ham radio club interested in friendships through amateur radio. One of our annual events is running bingo for the fire company at their annual carnival. This is the last weekend in July. The fire company lets us meet year round, use the carnival grounds for contests, like Field Day, our Tailgate Fest in August and allows us the use of their old tower where we have placed and APRS node system in return for running bingo. As a member of the HAHA I would like to thank the PHVFC for their always generous and hospitable attitude towards our club. Without them the HAHA would not be what it is today.
